Our organization, a Lagos-based marketing communications firm is looking for a talented web designer. The ideal candidate should be able to blend art with technology in a way that results in clean and artful web design. The successful candidate will also be able to translate high-level requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs

Requirements
• Proven 2-3 years’ work experience as a top-notch web designer, building functional, responsive and engaging websites.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
• Ability to blend software programming and graphics
• Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design tools
• Ability to solve problems creatively, strategically and effectively
• Ability to learn new techniques in the web design industry
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, yet in unity with a team is critical
• References will be required
• Expertise in email marketing is an added advantage.
• Background knowledge in marketing communications is an added advantage

Responsibilities
• Conceptualizing original, simple and user-friendly website design ideas
• Executing all web visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
• Ensure creative elements are in line with brand requirements.
• Conceptualize, create, develop, design and produce web promotions using graphics design software.
• Interpret creative "look", develop layouts of materials assigned.
• Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
