That's the beauty of democracy not this tribe-cracy currently in practice in my beloved country. Congratulations to the winner-mother.

However, what's false is the lecturer's myopic assertion in the last paragraph. For all I care and know one can conscientiously be a rival to his/her parents/leaders/elders in any contest and emerges victorious.

The most insightful in any contest/act - under normal circumstances - would always emerges victorious ahead of less insightful one's.

Kenyans are generally richer and more civilised than us Nigerians.

Compare their gdp to their population.

Then check that of Nigeria....

I like the names of their political parties.
Unlike Nigeria with fake bukus names of political parties with all sorts of lies and corrupt governance.

Everyone will bear their parents names comes judgement day at the polling units.

Elections in Kenya from the news I've been reading so far seems decent, peaceful & fair. Unlike a country in West Africa.

You obviously have not been listening to the news

Remind me again how contesting in an election wt ur mum is an art of disrespect?
Go and ask saraki who went against hs fatherz wish to contest politically and beat his sister to it.
Do not be deceived by dogma..

Just like Tinubu's son contesting against Remi or Danjuma's son contesting against Daisy. It's ludicrous!
Would bush 3 contest against Laura Bush
Or Chelsea Clinton against Hillary?!!

This can never happen in Nigeria. A son cannot contest against his mother in Nigeria.

We still get respect sha
technically, it happened in kwara. Son "contested" against his father. But what many of us think is that the election was a ruse..

Kenyans are still learners. This is a tactics used to scare other contestants to bring the position to the family. Trust Nigerians, it can't happen.

Family business grin only in Africa

Sorry to burst your bubble but this just doesn't happen in Africa only. In America, the Bush family are a political family. Jeb Bush was a governor, George Bush Sr was president and George Bush Jr was president too. They are Americans and there are other famous political families like them in the USA like the Kennedys.
