_FOR THOSE THAT DON'T ALREADY KNOW_


The Event is expected to have at least five hundred (500) Awgu Students of different tertiary institutions across the nation in attendance. The last day (THE HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS) and grand finale would feature the prominent sons and daughters of Awgu Local Government to witness the first set of inductees into the Awgu Hall Of Fame.
This event has been planned to take place at AWGU TOWN in AWGU LOCAL GOVERNMENT as a result of the situating of the Local Government Secretariat and the centrality of the Town to the other towns of the Local Government.
It is billed to be a three days event that would have the following features.
It has equally been giving the theme ‘HOME IS HOME; AWGU 2017’ As a result of its primary objective of bringing most of our youths in diaspora home, some of whom have never for the first time stepped foot home.
FEATURES
This event will feature
DAY ONE- THURSDAY, 28TH DECEMBER 2017.
1. Arrival of participating students from their respective institutions
2. Tales by moonlight at night
3. Demonstrations on how to prepare some Awgu homemade local dishes and Talk Shows on Some basic Awgu Local Government Customs by the individual towns present.
4. Presentations on the history and origin of the different towns of Awgu Local government, their distinct features and things they are known for, Agricultural products prominently engaged in there.
5. General history of Awgu Local Government, Her political affiliations and general political distinctions of our people.
DAY TWO- FRIDAY, 29TH DECEMBER 2017.
1. Familiarization tour of the host town.
