JAMB Confirms 120 Score As Cut-Off Mark for Universities, 100 for Polytechnic. - NasarawaReports. In a meeting with authorities of the Higher Institutions yesterday at Abuja, the Jamb Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede announced the new cut off marks for universities, Polytechnic, college of education and enterprise institution. Confirmed that 120marks will be the cutoff for students who wants to secure admission in Nigeria universities, 100 marks will be accepted for polytechnics and 110 for enterprise institution. He explained that over 1.7 million Nigerians wrote the Jamb exam, but less than 550,000 scored above 200 and about 75% scored below 160. The Registrar noted that admissions would be given by institutions based on agreed quotas prescribed by regulatory bodies including National Universities Commission, National Commission for Colleges of Education and National Board for Technical Education. Merit, catchment areas and educationally disadvantaged states would be among the criteria.
