By massaging the body, the hands rub and knead the skin. Massage therapists apply gentle or strong pressure to the muscles and joints of the body to relieve pain and tension. A massage therapist is a person who is trained in giving massages. Stress is reduced, and relaxation is increased with massage therapy. It helps reduce muscle tension and soreness.
