If Ekiti no de that list.. List neva complete.. "Ekiti has the most number of professors in Nigeria"...(i'm been biased though...Anyway am not sure about the current Statistics).. But seriously...I saw someone's comment about "ekiti myth".. Ekiti having the most number of professors didn't even start today so its not a myth... in the early 90's for example about 40%-45(can't remember the exact % but lies in the range) of the professors we had in "West Africa" were from Ekiti State, Nigeria.. Maybe other states in the country are now producing professors in numbers too, Ekiti has been in the game for long.. Even the present Serving Deputy Governor in Ekiti: Olusola Kolapo Eleka is a professor.. He just got it anyway..That just an example.. In ekiti almost everyone who has "literate" parents (45-65)+ will one way or the other "know" a professor.. Might not be working in the state but from the state.. Talk of the civil service .. We have a lot of doctors in the civils service.. Most of the known private secondary school in Ekiti are having master degree holders in multitude.. For example my Agric.Teacher in Sec. School then had already started her Phd programme then... Its not a myth bro.. its a reality.. People from Ekiti of becoming a professor are like 5n6 once the they give the teaching job a trial.... if you sabi book like this even your colleague go don start to de call una prof. .. That's the spirit in Ekiti bro.. So i think Ekiti, Ondo, Imo , Ogun, etc. should top the list.
