The administration of the University of Ilorin on Monday hailed the Federal Government's choice to lift restriction on the direct of post-UTME by tertiary organizations.

The foundation said the choice would guarantee quality in tertiary establishments' instruction in the nation.

The Director, Corporate Affairs of the college, Mr Kunle Akogun made this known to newsmen in Ilorin on Monday.

He said that the majority of the understudies conceded into the college without going through the post-UTME screening did not meet the standard of the college.

"You know our style here; we have an extremely strict dressing code and a high good standard.

"In view of that the vast majority of the understudies that entered through post-UTME had adjusted to our style here.

"Yet, the individuals who did not go through the post-UTME screening were extremely crude on the grounds that there was no legitimate screening.

"On the off chance that they had gone through post-UTME screening, we would have given them guidelines on the best way to dress and our rules and regulations," he said.

Akogun said that the restoration of the post-UTME was an appreciated improvement as it would enable the establishment to keep on to look after standard.

"Finally we are glad that the Federal Government has switched the request prohibiting post-UTME," he said.
