Cameroon officials have claimed they turned away the palatial Ibom Le Meridien Hotel and Golf Resorts, because of the fear of Nigerian witchcraft, ‘juju’.

Instead of staying at the five-star hotel, the West Africans made reservations at the plush Davok Suites, ahead of Friday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.

The Lions also flew in only on Thursday and will head to the airport and back to Yaounde immediately after the match on Friday.

I know they are not here for comfort but CAF should investigate this to avoid future hospitality conflicts which can ruin the game.
