Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochettino has named as many as seven Nigerians on his 25-man Premier League squad.

Tottenham Hotspur submitted their 25-man squad for the season to the Premier League on Friday, and they included as much as seven players of Nigerian descent on the list.

Although all seven of the listed players were born in the UK and have represented England at various junior and youth levels, they still remain eligible for the Super Eagles.


The names of the seven players of Nigerian descent were submitted to the Premier League on Friday, September 1, as part of Spurs U21 players (contracts and scholars).

They include Ayodele Amos, Keanan Chidozie Bennetts, Timothy Eyoma, Jubril Okedina, Joshua Oluwayemi, Moroyin Omolabi and Josh Onomah.

However, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will not be able to count on the services of England U20 World Cup star Onomah, who is spending the whole of this season on loan at Aston Villa.
