Frank De Boer Sack by Crystal Palace goes down as the shortest Premier League reign as a manager. The Palace boss lost all the four Premier League matches played so far this season, conceding six goals without scoring.

Questions have been raised of the standards at which managers are being sacked in recent years in Premier League. Frank De Boer happens to be the latest victim.

See top five list of the shortest reign as a manager in Premier League.

5. Sammy Lee (Bolton: 11 Games, 30 April 2007 to 17 October 2007)

Famous for that dreadful headset he insisted on wearing, Sammy Lee lasted just 11 Premier League games at Bolton Wanderers after he replaced Sam Allardyce, whom he had coached under for the Trotters.

Lee won just won top flight game but insisted on citing positives during his post-match interviews at the Reebok Stadium. However, his sacking by October led Lee to end his career as a manager, returning to assistant roles at Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton, where he currently serves.

4. Jacques Santini (9 Games: 17 June 2004 - 5 November 2004)

Tottenham Hotspur seemed to have pulled a real coup when they hired France manager Jacques Santini, yet announcing the decision prior to Les Blues' elimination from Euro 2004 kicked off what would be a forgettable period in Spurs' history.

After just nine games in charge, albeit a decent record of five wins, Santini quit for personal reasons, with many pointing to his troubled relationship with Sporting Director Frank Arnesen as the explanation for his premature exit.

3. Paul Sturrock (Southampton: 9 Games: 4 March 2004 to 23 August 2004)

The predecessor to Southampton legend Steve Wigley, Paul Sturrock was poached from Plymouth Argyle to succeed fellow Scot Gordon Strachan, after working wonders for the Pilgrims in the lower leagues.

He ended the 2004/05 season with the Saints, yet the following season was an extremely short one for Sturrock, who was shown the door after just two games. Reports of player unrest and board dissatisfaction sound realistic, as Sturrock went on to manage Sheffield Wednesday.

2. Les Reed (Charlton Athletic: 7 Games, 14 November 2006 to 24 December 2006)

More of a consultant and a technical director than a football manager, Reed took the helm of Charlton Athletic in November 2006 when he replaced Iain Dowie, jumping up from his assistant role.

However, six weeks later Reed was already shown the door after a dismal period, which was epitomized by getting knocked out of the League Cup by fourth tiered Wycombe Wanderers. Regularly billed as one of the worst managers in Premier League history, his short stint has still yet to be beaten.

1. Frank De Boer (4 Games, 26 June 2017 to 11 November 2017):

Just 11 weeks after his announcement, De Boer went down history lane, becoming the worst manager of all time in the Premier League. Having lost all his four opening matches, he was unable to get any of his player scores at least a goal after conceding 6 goals in the process.

The manager's only victory came from the Carabao's Cup where his team managed a 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town

Frank De Boer is a Good Coach but EPl is very though Lig For someone like him who tried to implement Dutch Style of Play it wasnt easy to achieve within a short period of time ... Epl is play any how , defend well and win some matches thats how Clubs like stoke city survives....
