A Nigeria Police officer has allegedly shot a final year student of the Department of Mass Communication, Uyo City Polytechnic, Nduetong Oku, Uyo, in Akwa Ibom state, Imo Ekanem, to death over refusal of giving a N100 bribe.

The incidence occurred in his hometown, Nkeke, in Ukanafun Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, while using his mothers motorcycle for an errand.

According to an eyewitness who briefed Newsmen on Monday, Usung Simeon, said that Ekanem was killed by one of the policemen attached to the special squad the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Zubairu Muazu, sent to the area
to confront recurrent cult activities.
