S4 still holds up pretty well. It's not outdated neither is it slow. It could be running an old software doesn't mean it's slow. By your logic, window 7 is supposed to eb slow simply because its on an old os.

You can read it up yourself. Every new iteration of iOS causes problems to old models. They cripple the performance so you can dump and pick up the new models.
