A good name(reputation) is so valuable that in some land it is legally protected in the case of libels or slanders. The Bible says, "if you are to choose between good reputation and great wealth, choose a good reputation (prov. 22:1 GNB).

But the question is how can we achieve this great status, consider what the Bible says in Psalm 15:
To achieve this you need to...
1. 0bey God in everything
2. Do what is right
3. Be true and sincere
4. Do not slander others
5. Do not wrong your friends
6. Do not spread rumours about your neighbors
7. Despise those whom God rejects and respect those who obey the Lord
8. Always keep your promises
9. And lastly do not accept bribe.
Would you not honour someone who lived by those principles?
May God guide us properly to a good reputation. (Amen)
