To pay yourself, I assume you mean monthly payment (salary) so I'll advice you do it based on a percentage and not a fixed amount. With a fixed amount, while returns and profit might vary your fixed salary won't and will definitely affect capital and the running of the business in the long run.

But with a percentage, your percent should be gotten preferably after the capital has been deducted but whatever you do, keep the running of the business in mind even if it means making a sacrifice or two.
