Take more fruits and vegetables than carbonated drinks.

Recent research has shown that 80% of the world population take more of sugary drinks and beverages than in the 1980s. This is due to the presence of more beverages and drinks companies in the world, leading to the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages which has increased fivefold since the 1950s.
Did you know that 75 percent of processed foods and drinks contain added sugar? This shows the pervasiveness of sugar in our everyday diet.
Studies have also pointed out a link between sugar-sweetened beverages and cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes
It is important to know that Soft drinks, fruit juices, flavored water, and ready-to-drink coffee and tea are all artificially sweetened and have no energy content.

Why more fruits and vegetables are preferred to carbonated drinks.

1. Regular consumption of fruits lowers your chance of developing cardiovascular disease.
2. Regular consumption of fruits lowers the chance of developing some cancers, such as bowel and lung cancer.
3. Taking more fruits and vegetables lowers the chance of developing obesity and type 2 diabetes.
4. It Contains lots of fibre which helps to keep your bowels healthy. Problems such as constipation and diverticular disease are less likely to develop.
5. It Contains more vitamins and minerals, which are needed to keep you healthy.
6. They are naturally low in fat and calories which helps keep your weight in control.
