The AkwaIbom State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Supritendent Of Police Chukwu Ilechukwu has told men of the Press that the Kidnap kingpin that has been troubling the State has finally been apprehended.

He Said:

“The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a most wanted kidnap kingpin.

Based on intelligence recieved, our men from Anti-Kidnapping Squad, today 22/09/2017 at about 1300hrs swung into action and arrested one Okon Edem Udofia, aged 26 years old. He masterminded the kidnapping of one Daniel Maurice Ekpenyong, the driver of Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman on 12/09/2017.

Among items recovered at his residence are: one single barrel long gun, one locally made single barrel pistol, three live cartridges, one military camouflage and several charms.

On interrogation, he confessed to the crime and also assisting ............
