MrPresident1: Monsieur Le-Presidente I believe we can all agree that Jesus’ audience to that statement were the Jews of the day and that the statement in question is/was not a parable. The term “generation” was not pluralised. Most important though is the understanding of his listeners and of this we are left in no doubt whatsoever. Here is the context. Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher following the footsteps of John the Baptist. Jesus admonished his listeners to repent of their evil ways because the end of the world was imminent. It was not a far-fetched notional allegorical exhortation, he believed God was going to bring about the end of the world. Just as the Baptist did, Jesus preached that God was going to bring about the end of the world through the coming of the ‘son of man’ who would remove the burdensome rule of Rome, free the Jews and punish the wicked. The understanding of his listeners would be exactly that within their lifetimes and that of their children, constituting a generation, those things would come to pass, any other allegorical allusions i.e fig trees and what have you would have been embedded within the time span of that 'generation'. There can be no other worthwhile interpretation. |

Sarassin: Matthew22:31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. As I keep saying, the Bible is a living breathing book, and its contents are more current than next tomorrows news. You only need a bit of effort to do some research to come to the light of truth. God is the God of the living and not of the dead; with this in mind, and a willingness to learn new things, and a readiness to let go of pride and ego, one can begin to unravel the secrets of the Bible. God is the God of the living. Abraham, Isaac, Paul, Timothy etc, are all now with us Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: The verse above is talking about the American Eclipse of August 21, I made a thread on this. God uses the ECLIPSE to warn the leading ruling nations (or the lucifers of our world) that He is about to bring judgment to them if they refuse to change from their bad ways. So how possibly can you say the blessed book is talking about long dead people? I am sure that you know about Astronomy/Astrology, everything that will ever happen is written in the stars hence as above so below or the heavens rule. The heavens decree everything, and as time passes what is foreseen becomes common knowledge. Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; The ECLIPSE of August 21 was for a sign to show the season to whoever cares to repent. It is a Living Breathing Book, THE HOLY BIBLE. Sarassin: Jesus an apocalyptic preacher? lol. I can do some advance Bible studies with you, I see that you can handle it. There is no such person as Jesus Christ walking and preaching through the streets of Jerusalem, there never was. All those things that were written about Jesus was copied from the stars . Let me show you something if you can handle it Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. There was no such thing as a building called the temple of God; the temple of God was Jerusalem itself, and the buildings of that temple are the people of Jerusalem, the Jews Jeremiah 7:4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. Again, Rome did not disappear, Rome only morphed. Rome is still with us today, and Rome is still ruling us. Rome is NATO, and America is the head of NATO. Sarassin: Lol. The fig tree is Israel, the true Israel. The fruitless tree that had a lot of leaves but no fruits. Full of show but on fruits, that was the condition of the ancient Jews. Now Jesus likened the time of his coming to the budding of the fig tree, when you see it putting forth leaves, just know that the he is at the door. How would you know that Israel has started to bud? When you hear the declaration of Peace and Safety, and you see the ECLIPSE; the great ECLIPSE THAT HERALDS THE DEMISE OF EMPIRES. Read that thread again, try to understand the timelines, I made a thread on this, and if you are able to let go of your ego, your eyes will begin to open small small. If we are correct that this Jubilee generation is the one that Jesus waas referencing, then He will be here latest by Sundown on the 29th September. Sundown 29th September 2017 we enter into a new Jubilee season. All impediments to his coming like Paul's three step verification process, the preaching of the Gospel to the whole world etc., have been fulfilled. Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. |

MrPresident1: Well, I learn something new every day but I think that everything that is to be said about the bible has been said and or written about it and there is nothing new. All that exists are skewed interpretations in furtherance of one doctrinal objective or the other. You say that Abraham, Isaac, Paul, Timothy et al are all with us now, how so? Are they running around incognito on some Kibbutz in Israel? Have you any factual evidence to substantiate this? You say that Mat. 24:29 is talking about the American solar eclipse of August, how so? What made that particular eclipse extra special? Do you know that in the first century alone there were 248 solar eclipses? how do you know that Mat. 24:29 was not in referral to any one of them? On average there are 2 to 4 solar eclipses every single year, again I ask what makes the last one so special? MrPresident1: You say Jesus did not walk the streets of Jerusalem preaching, and that biblical stories were copied from the stars, fine. At least I have a decent grasp of astrology, so, kindly explain to me how that information was gleaned from the stars, what cluster of stars disclosed this information? And in what form? who were the astrologers who determined these stories? what were the astrological points of references in adducing these stories? Does this theory of yours extend to the disciples also, I am really interested, did they walk the Earth too or not, How about Paul? MrPresident1: There was a main temple dedicated to YHWH in Jerusalem. It is perfectly fine to make an allegorical allusion to Jerusalem as the temple of God, but to then go on and say that no such temple did exist is just wrong at so many levels. We know the Jerusalem temple did exist, the Romans told us so, and they at least kept records. Nobody said Rome disappeared, it is of course the eternal city. How do you make the leap that Rome is Nato? There is no factual political basis for this assertion. MrPresident1: I think you are having a giggle. 1 Like |

Sarassin: You multiply words empty of knowledge and common sense. Go and read what I wrote again, I cannot be bothered by your foolishness, and lack of comprehension skills. After all, What concourse does the living have with the dead? |

MrPresident1: You are really funny, Bozo the clown will be out of a job fairly sharpish with your presidential clownish antics. I asked you simple questions based on your daft assertions and here you are hurling insults and accusing me of …what was it again? Common sense? Read what you wrote up there and come back and tell me that common sense to you is not a town in China. 29th September indeed. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MrPresident1: When you say 'declaration of peace', who declared this and to whom did they declare it to? What is Jesus returning to do, that he could not have done in one sitting? I just don't see the prophets saying anything about two appearances. |

MrPresident1: Ok. I shall wait till the 1st of October and reopen. If I can show you several places new testament claims Jesus was prophesied by the prophets, but prove the old testament verses referenced were not in fact talking about him, would that be grounds for you to consider that perhaps the NT is made up? |

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Prophecy is unraveling right before our very eyes. The latest prophecy that has now been unraveled is the sign of the son of man in heaven Revelations 12:1 -2 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. The sign of Jesus the Son of God has been appeared in heaven; in the stars. The sign appeared on the 23rd of September. The woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet is Israel Upon her head a crown of 12 stars, these are the 12 tribes of Israel This woman has successfully delivered her man child, the child who will rule the the earth with a rod of iron. When he first came, he had to be caught up into the heavens, into the throne of God. It was not time for his rulership/kingdom to begin at that time Now he has come back to rule and reign over everything |

Matthew 24:30 -31 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The sign of the son of man has appeared in heaven |

Matthew 24:30b :and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The next prophecy to be fulfilled is this one, the coming of the Son of man in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:31 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Vs 30b and 31 are saying the same thing; the coming of Jesus is the regathering of the church from one end of the earth to another, and it will end in the twinkling of an eye. |

If the generation Jesus is talking about is this Jubilee generation, well then, the end of this generation is tomorrow, and sundown tomorrow we begin another Jubilee cycle. Take note that all the prophecies have been fulfilled in this Jubilee cycle. If we have deduced correctly, then tomorrow will be a very special day. Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. |

MrPresident1: Psalm 89: 20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: Psalm 89:27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. Ezekiel 37:24-25 " 24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever." Jeremiah 30:9 "9 but they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them" Houston, we have a problem 1 Like |

Lanre747: No my Bro, the new testament is valid and authentic. The Word of God is progressively being revealed to us and we get to understand more and more with the passage of events and time. I need to understand your grouse with the NT, let me know and let us mutually address them |
