The revolution of Ghanaian artistes,in recent times is something that should be well acknowledged as a step in the right direction.They actually are giving their Nigerian neighbors a run for the fame,glory and money that comes with music.A good number of their artistes which includes Eugy,Sarkodie "Mr eazi",Sarkodie Fuse Odg have gone on to release mind blowing songs
Nigeria and Ghana have always been lovely rivals in several aspects of life.But music is something people hardly thought about.The rivalry got so intense that mr eazi a Ghanaian based Nigerian musician once said the influence of Ghanaian sounds,words can"t be overlooked in the Nigerian music and I bet you he is correct For example,when we look at slangs like sika,chaley etc they are not really Nigeria in origin but Ghana.But i would like to remind Mr Eazi that the best leaders of all times never wasted opportunities by neglecting the small things of this life
The competition between both countries has led to the production of several good songs it has brought out the best in the artistes from both countries .But still Nigerians are the king of the music industry in Africa.From South Africa to far away Europe Nigerians are moving the world and it didn't start today but from the days of Fela Anikulapo,Ras kimono,Majek fashek down to present day Wizkid,skales,davido etc,just check out their collabos with musicians from other continents ,check out their views on youtube etc.
The fact is music is a very powerful tool that makes the weak strong,gives the hopeless hope,makes the loner feel happy as if he is in company,It fights depression faster than one can even think. Ghanaian artistes should learn more from their Nigerian counterparts.The rivalry shouldn't bring jealousy and hatred but rather love and peace from both countries as we both share a lot in common.
