Ali Ahmadu, 6, was run over by Boko Haram members in 2014 as he tried to flee with his mother from an attack in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria, where 275 school girls were kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014.

Ali is back on his feet again, after having a successful spinal cord surgery in Dubai.

The cost of his surgery, which was funded by a Nigerian Charity, was $48,000 (N14,640,000.00), while the total requirement for the complete treatment of Ali was put at $60,000. (N18,300,000.00), including feeding and accommodation.

His medical surgery was carried out successfully at a medical facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is expected to stay in Dubai for about three months while he undergoes rehabilitation exercise and physical therapy.

Nuhuu Kwajafa, founder of the Global Initiative for peace, love and care, that funded Ali's treatment in Dubai told the BBC that Ali Ahmadu had not seen a doctor between the time of his injury and arriving in Dubai.
