we all know the universal test for freshness of eggs; dip in water and see if it sinks or float. if it sinks its ok, if it floats, its rotten. but sometimes i dip the egg in water and it sinks only for me to crack it open and the stench of rotten eggs fill the kitchen
are they other test for freshness of egg without having to break the shell?

u may look closely n see if d shell has some grayish patches,which indicates it might not be fresh.

tho i see eggs with brownish patches on them and they turn out fine.
