Population control from outside the continent; if they have collaborators in Nigeria is a possibility that is likely. We are not helping ourselves by being a dirty country. Instead of building new non essential things, what about maintaining the cleanliness of the street, a comprehensive sewer network, just renovating the current infrastructure. Nigeria is just an idiotic country. Tufiakwa. We are waiting for the foreigners that did this to come help us when their numbers have not reached. How idiotic is that? |

ritababe: Excellent question Given the baostful attitude of the Nigerian youths who "don't use Chinko phone" and the rivalry between Yoruba and Igbos about being the best in Nigeria They should step up now so that we can have verifiable evidence It is not enough to have perfect GPA score from Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford etc without being able to do anything practicable that affect the life of the average Nigerian 4 Likes |

VellyG: Silly post Jonathan as president did not meet governors nor did his Minister (Prof Chukwu meet state commissioners) until about one month after the index was reported in Lagos Fashola built a new isolation centre before Jonathan/Health Minister met the Gov/commissioners If you doubt me, go and read the letter of Dr Igonoh (one of the survivors) to Bill Gates Prof Chukwu only embezzled the money voted for Ebola by the FG https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/167335-nigerian-health-minister-says-n1-9-bn-ebola-fund-will-be-used-for-cars-others.html FG gave Lagos State N200m out of which we know clearly how N76m was explicitly spent (N50m to the hospital that isolated the index case and N2m for each of the 13 survivors) Now consider cost of the new isolation centre, cost of contact tracing, cost of drugs and other materials, cost of consultants/doctors services etc https://www.gatesnotes.com/Health/Surviving-Ebola-Dr-Ada-Igonoh On the night of Sunday July 20th, 2014, Patrick Sawyer was wheeled into the emergency room of the First Consultants Medical Centre, Obalende, Lagos, https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/sawyer-mad-bring-ebola-jonathan/ This Vanguard report was dated Aug 12, same day the new Isolation was opened in Lagos You can see that Jonathan was promising to meet Govs and Commissioners the following day (Wed) to ensure that they were prepared. Meeting States Govs/Commissioners 3 weeks! after Sawyer died in Lagos Continuing he said: “On Wednesday, I will meet with governors of the states, and they must come with their commissioners for health. We must make sure that every state is prepared. Where they lack, the Federal Government will support them.” 2 Likes |

Ajekuiya: This is blasphemy. Jonathan or God? Even Jonathan blamed Sawyer, the Liberian, not APC https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/sawyer-mad-bring-ebola-jonathan/ https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/167335-nigerian-health-minister-says-n1-9-bn-ebola-fund-will-be-used-for-cars-others.html |

Kennitrust:"Finland has the most stable economy in world today. There are less than 20 churches in Finland. Switzerland has the second most stable economy in the world. Switzerland has less than 30 churches. Denmark is the third most stable economy in the world. Denmark has about 23 churches in it. These are countries considered largely atheist in nature, yet so blessed. Come to Owerri town, SE Nigeria, from MCC junction to Toronto junction, there are 36 churches. That stretch of about 5 km harbours 36 churches, more churches than the entire Switzerland. Between Owerri and Mgbidi l counted 97 churches and gave up. According to CAC, Nigeria has over 23,000 registered churches. We have more churches than schools and hospitals combined. More pastors than doctors and teachers combined. Everyone is born again. All are covered in the blood of Jesus. All are filled with the Holy Spirit. Yet none of those claims reflects in the expected moral elevation of society. We are still one of the greediest, laziest, corrupt, deceitful, hypocritical and hateful set of beings on the planet today, with all our Christ and Holy spirit. Our people need to draw the line between religiosity and spirituality." 8 Likes 2 Shares |

vioment: What 'population control'? It isn't fatal. You want to talk about idiotic but your whole comment is nonsense. The new 'non essential things' are needed, you're too simple to see that. Maintenance, renovation and innovation are all needed. Especially in a country such as Nigeria with a ridiculously high birth rate. |

Lagos State government on Monday alerted the public of possible outbreak of the new viral disease, Monkey Pox, saying two suspected cases have been recorded in the state. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who disclosed this at a news conference on Monday, said that the two suspected cases were currently being investigated in the state. Without disclosing identity and location, the commissioner said that the two suspected cases were recorded in a private hospital in the state. Speaking he said, “Though no confirmed case has been recorded, there is need to sensitise members of the public and provide adequate information on measures for prevention and control of the disease in line with the policy of the State government,” he said. johnydon22: You are mad. Fashola fought Ebola not Goatluck. Goatluck could not fight even headache. Monkeypox started from Goatluck's backyard while he is busy spending stolen money all over the world. You better call him to come home and help his people before they are given mass burial in monkey grave. |
