Hey, wake up its morning Sun rise above stars adorning Last night beyond sight His Knight was gone, gone without warning The day morning came mourning. Ashes of the night aflutter, on grimaced faces of dawn Last night is dead, oh what have we done Turmoil reigned, morning’s tears rained Last night begot a nightmare A darkness revealed, a moons mare. To feel that waking is another dream that dreams of not dreaming, and The death we fear in our bones is the death that every night we call a dream The night had to end The night was morning’s friend. Again hope blossomed, not a tear was shed, not a grief was bred Few hours and less fewer deaths later Another night beneath the sunset Moons and stars imbedded More starry than the night before Yet again, tomorrow cometh quickly Yet again The day morning came mourning. ©Davidduoz https://davidduoz./2017/10/10/the-day-morning-came-mourning/ |
