The new deal is close to being finalised and will see Barca’s record goalscorer earn £500,000-a-week and receive an £80m signing bonus, according to the Daily Mail. The bonus will be the highest ever and Barca are looking to sell the naming rights to the Nou Camp to help fund the deal. The contract is well deserved for Messi, who scored a stunning hat-trick against Ecuador this week to send Argentina to next summer’s World Cup. |
