Probably, this was the power of the most high in making which he used for creation. He hides the wisdom in a fruit but as a result of his love for mankind and the beautiful garden, he happened to plant the tree inside the garden. He made the Adam to know about this tree which he commanded him not to eat. He even treating him (Adam) to die should he eat the fruit any day but allowed him to enjoy life with the rest of fruit as found in the garden.

He allowed him [Moses] to hear his voice, and led him into the dark cloud, and gave him the commandments face to face, the law of life and knowledge, so that he might teach Jacob the covenant, and Israel his decrees.

Moses as the author has the right to include the letter " the sea" as we read in Exodus 20:11 perhaps to give readers a defined understanding.

In the Bible book of Genesis 1:2

WATERS was mentioned more than 20 times in Genesis chapter 1 and 2 telling you it wasn't a mistake if bible did not give us account of how it was created and days it was created.
