Seems the era of fixed subscription regime is gradually coming to an end as Startimes Nigeria announced the launching pay-per-day (PPD) subscription model in the country, effective November 1, 2017.

This was disclosed on their Official Twitter handle @StarTimes_Ng :

In a statement made by the Management, Startimes Nigeria says this would allow subscribers watch some important programmes not available on their bouquet. Now Subscribers can now enjoy unlimited access to quality entertainment.

Enjoy over 40 TV channels with just N300 a week! And here it gets better, Subscribers can now watch as much as 30 Channels with N60 ONLY.

Talking about the recent competition in the payTV landscape within the activities of the Pay-as-you-consume model by TSTV. The debate is still ongoing around which pricing model would best suit pay-TV consumers in Nigeria.
