It will be a reality. They have started already and last time I was there, I was briefed.

This is a welcomed development. The Ibadan airport is not being patronized like we all expected. The idea of international airport in Osogbo will bring in people from Ibadan, Akure, Ekiti and surrounding states. I hope the next governor will continue with this project.

Every state in Nigeria deserve a local airport. Airports should not be seen as a big deal.

So it's a crime for osun and Ekiti to have their own seperate airport. It's a great development to South West. There's nothing bad if all the states in South have International Airport. The money that meant for Ojo should not be spent on Aina...

You're smart! Don't mind those crying about Ibadan what what what... Let the people of Ibadan patronize their airport for now and increase business activities there. Its not a crime if Ibadan people fly-in to Osogbo and drive _for an hour to Ibadan. The governors investment in infrastructure will yield the desired results soon.

Osogbo happens to be the centre of Yoruba's nation or South West states. The airport was stategically placed to serve as access point to the south west states/ yoruba nation. It is easier to move by road from Osogbo to any other yoruba states/nation.

I also think Osogbo is being strategically prepared to be headquarter of Yoruba people/nation.

Benue State Governor said he was going to build a cargo airport..a cargo airport in a state with almost zero commercial activities... well well well.graders and bulldozers were brought to site..cleared an area of about 200 square metres..the start off ceremony was elaborate and colourful, and the rest as they say is history..I just hope this wouldn't be the case in Osun...Gov Ortom is just a nightmare to benue state

Buhari is a curse/nightmare to Nigeria and Nigerians.

ogbeni aregbesola is busy building castles in the air. the proposed airport is a laudable project but how far he will be able to go when the project commences remains a subject of unreality because workers are still being owed and infrastructural development in d state is at a very low ebb

I now see why intelligent ppl dont comment on NL again. Whats wrong with building an airport even if there's widespread poverty or inadequate power supply? And what has Oyo state got to do with a project in another state? The way some ppl reason sha
A lot of ppl here dont even know the details of what the project is about and they're here wailing as usual. This is commendable IMO as far as it serves to attract investment and people to the state of osun thereby improving the general standard of living of osun ppl.

That's a good thing. There would be ease of movement in and out of the state. Every state deserves to have one.

you dey mind them, osun get many haters, and osun, especially osogbo dey enjoy 24hour electricity pass, that is why I love the state, in term of electricity, no state can beat osun ,just come to osogbo and see 24hour light and good roads, and some useless people will keep underating the state.

In the first place, osogbo is not ripe enough to have a local airport not to talk of an international airport.

We have an airport at Akure and Ibadan.

why wasting so much fund in building a project you cannot complete.

U seem not to understand the mindset of Aregbesola (my state gov). This airport project is a total scam. Aregbe's tenure ends around this tym next year,....this is just one white elephant project! Previously, was it not d Nigerian Airforce he gave dis contract to? ....like 3yrs ago or so.
