TEXT:"JUDE, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called."-Jude 1:1

God is the creator of all things, Genesis 1:1; 2:1. The sovereign and supreme power, that rules the whole world. And this power is God the Father. His name is Jehovah, Exodus 6:3. He is all in all, 1 Corinthians 15:28. And he is the only true God, John 17:3. He has Word and Strength. The Word of God is the Son of God. While the Strength of God is the Holy Spirit.

The Word was in the beginning, and this Word was with God, and this Word was God. The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among men. This Word became a person, John 1:14. In like manner, the Strength of God was also in the beginning. The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, Genesis 1:1, 2. The Holy Spirit is also a person, John 14:16, 17; 16:13-15.

God the Father is a person, Jesus Christ, the Son of God is a person, and the Holy Spirit is also a person. These three persons were all present in the beginning, except Jesus Christ, who was present as the Word of God. When God the Father wanted to create man, he said, "Let us..." Some scholars inferred that he was talking to the other two persons: the Word of God and the Spirit of God.

Consequently, this gave rise to the doctrine of the Trinity. Although, the word "Trinity" is not mentioned in the Bible, it has become a controversial doctrine, that has been misunderstood and misapplied by many.

For further explanation, there is a difference between the Trinity and a trinity. I shall be writing about a trinity, and not the Trinity. While the Trinity is the controversial doctrine. A trinity is a group of three persons or things. This idea is in the Bible: Genesis 18:1-3; Ecclesiastes 4:12; Matthew 17:4; 28:19; 1 Corinthians 13:13; 1 John 5:7, 8; etc. Though, the three persons: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit are one, they are not equal, because God the Father is greater than all, John 10: 29, 30; and he is also greater than the Son, John 14:28.

As I earlier explained, there is only one God, and that is God the Father, John 17:3. And he has an only begotten Son, Psalm 2:7; Hebrews 1:5. He is the beginning of the creation of God, Revelation 3:14. And as a Son, he is an heir to the throne of God, he is also entitled to rule like his Father, Luke 22:29; Revelation 3:21; 12:1-5.

Moreover, a body was prepared for this Son to come into the world, and the body was called Jesus, Matthew 1:21; Hebrews 10:5. Remember I earlier said, God the Father is all in all, 1 Corinthians 15:28. These two "all" make up God the Father: one "all" for God, and the other "all" for the Father. The Son was given "all" things, Matthew 11:27. This "all" entitles him to be called, God the Son. And so, when he was sent into the world, God the Father addressed him as God, Hebrews 1:5-10.

Nevertheless, a distinction needs to be made here, Mary, the mother of Jesus, conceived and delivered the body that was prepared for the Son of God. Mary, therefore, is the mother of Jesus Christ, and not the mother of God, because when Jesus walked and worked on earth, he was the Son of man, and operated as a man, Matthew 8:20; Mark 13:32; Luke 24:7. He did not operate as God on earth, Matthew 19:17.

In addition, the "all" that was given to the Son includes: all power, Matthew 28:18; and all judgment, John 5:22. Furthermore, when Jesus was departing the world, he gave all things to the Holy Spirit, John 16:13-15. This also entitles the Holy Ghost to be addressed as God the Holy Spirit. And until the end, when Jesus Christ, the Son of God shall have delivered the kingdom to God the Father; and when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected unto him that put all things under him, that God the Father shall be all in all, 1 Corinthians 15:28.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
