Temptation is where the devil, your flesh, or the world says, “Here’s a way you can sin.” Think of it as a doorway; the lights are flashing, arrows are pointing, the bait is laid out in front of you. But every single time there is a doorway to sin there is another doorway as well. This verse says, “God makes a way to escape.” God’s doorway to holiness and pure living is there as well. It’s not as flashy as the doorway to sin. Infact, God’s door is built out of the rough, rugged timbers of a cross but remember the way of the cross leads home. So when you are tempted, walk through the right door.

Beloved, You still yield to that temptation and fall into that sin again because you don’t know that there is a way out. So I’m announcing to you that there is a way out!

When that temptation comes again you now know that there is a way out…this is the word of God for you!

“…but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

“…but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently
