CRISTIANO RONALDO once again failed to find the back of the net as Real Madrid slumped to a shock 2-1 defeat away to Girona on Sunday.
The Portuguese star, 32, has been uncharacteristically quiet in La Liga this season, scoring just ONCE.

The Madrid star has unleashed 40 shots this season in La Liga for his sole goal... for a 2.5 per cent conversion record. While Ron has found the net ten times in other competitions for club and country, his league form will be a real concern for Zinedine Zidane. Los Blancos are now sitting just third in La Liga, eight points behind Barcelona and four back from high-flying Valencia. However, Ronaldo is not the only big-name forward to struggle in front of goal in the league in 2017-18 so far.
In fact, Arsenal's sought-after star Alexis Sanchez has scored just once from 25 shots at a four per cent clip... the eighth-worst record in Europe. Bologna forward Simone Verdi can boast the second-worst record with a 2.8 per cent conversion record, ahead of Sassuolo acea Domenico Berardi (three per cent). Big names including Napoli star Marek Hamsik and AC Milan forward Hakan Calhanoglu also break into the top ten for waywardness. But for now it is Real Madrid star Ronaldo who is struggling the most.
