Nigerian Prisoners In Uk To Be Sent Back To Nigerian Prisons! by martinosi: 3:23pm On Mar 19, 2010 |
NAWAO!!! This one go make all them 419 BOys in the uk and others to behave themselves lol!!! Please be aware that by Nigerian Prisoners they mean Nigerians who hold a Nigerian Passport lol!!! *********************************** Source - http://odili.net/news/source/2010/mar/18/14.html Why repatriation of Nigerian prisoners in UK is delayed, by minister From Betty Aderibigbe, Abuja THE Minister of State for Interior, Mr. Ademola Seriki, has said that the conclusion of an agreement for prisoners exchange initiated last year between Nigeria and the United Kingdom (UK) could not be concluded because of the power vacuum induced by the prolonged absence of the ailing President Umaru Yar'Adua. Seriki spoke yesterday when he received in his office a delegation from the UK, led by the Director of Migration Directorate, Mr. Peter Jones, including the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bob Dewar, to ascertain the extent of work done on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to consolidate the agreement reached by both governments to have their prisoners serve their jail terms in their various countries. No fewer than 400 of Nigerian prisoners are incarcerated in the UK prisons as at last year. The minister said a bill which had since been sent to the National Assembly and had already passed through the second reading had been stalled, as the National Assembly as well as other arms of the government were involved in an effort to resolve the power vacuum. Seriki said: "As you are fully aware, we did not deliberately procrastinate on the issue, but were passive in activities because of the political impasse in the country since December, of which finally we have a solution. That was what actually constituted the delay in this matter. The National Assembly, ministries, departments and agencies have been focusing on different directions on how that can be resolved and now I can assure you that we will expedite action and ensure that every law will be considered." He told the delegation that substantial progress had been made and that in the next one or two months, the MoU would be ready for signing. He urged the UK government to continue to treat the inmates with human kindness, pointing out that imprisonment was not supposed to be punitive but corrective. **************************************************** Look at the last Point of the Nigerian Minister Quote "He urged the UK government to continue to treat the inmates with human kindness, pointing out that imprisonment was not supposed to be punitive but corrective" HABA The Nigerian Prisoners are having a GOOD Time in UK Prisoners in comparison to what they will face when relocated to Nigerian Prison |

Crime rate is about to go down. Some actually prefer to go to UK prisons. They get good food, telly, nice place to sleep, no bills and they even get paid 2.50 a day. No wonder tax players are seething. |

It would be a matter of how long before they are released from Nigerian prisons. If you have the money you would pay yourself out of there ASAP. Prison is for the poor and unconnected in Nigeria. The UK is trying to decongest its prisons hence their pursuit of this deal. They are doing same with other countries with a high number of inmates in HM Prisons ie Jamaica, India and Pakistan. At the last count there were roughly 10,000 foreign prisoners in UK jails of about 80,000 prisoners. They spend at least £150 on each prisoner per day. So deporting 400 prisoners to naija would save them £$$£. |

Nobody should support these filthy vermin criminals. As a UK tax payer I do not want to support them in our prison system, why should we? Let them go and rot in a stinking Nigerian jail and let there families rally around them like flies around faeces Let's just get them out of here |
