Yes, about a quarter of the Saudi population live in poverty.

It's obvious you don't know what you are talking about and my subsequent response to your comments on this matter is dimmed a futile effort. 25% of Saudi population is not living below poverty. Check the cited reference.

1. Your argument was that there is NO poverty in an Islamic society. Even the link that you have posted claims that over 10% the population live in poverty.

2. Saudi Arabia has admitted that they have an issue with poverty as evidenced by their actions.

Under King Abdullah, the Saudi government has spent billions to help the growing numbers of poor, estimated to be as much as a quarter of the native Saudi population. But critics complain that those programmes are inadequate, and that some royals seem more concerned with the country's image than with helping the needy. In 2011, for example, three Saudi video bloggers were jailed for two weeks after they made an online film about poverty in Saudi Arabia.

3. People have been sent to prison for trying to expose the widespread issue of poverty in Saudi Arabia. A nation that sends people to prison for exposing a problem is not likely to fully admit to the extent of the problem.

“Two young Saudi bloggers were sent to jail for fifteen days after uploading a ten-minute documentary on poverty in Riyadh, the capital of one of the richest petro-states in the Gulf.”

In their video, they point out that “over the past 27 years Saudi Arabia has donated 56 billion euros to developing countries, while 22% the country's own citizens were reportedly living in relative poverty in 2009 (local media put the number at 30% in 2008).”

Unfortunately, the documentary cannot be viewed as the site has been terminated - the conservative Kingdom is well known for its ruthless censorship. About the authors, both bloggers were arrested and held for two weeks. There is still no exact record of their crime or why they were held for so long.

So, two young Saudi BLOGGERS are now a better reference on provision of reliable per capital income and poverty index of a country than the world bank? I REST MY CASE.

No, you bozo.

There are two articles from credible news outlets.

How did you skip the links and jump to the reference of two bloggers?

Your argument that there is no poverty in an Islamic society yet somehow posted a link admitting that is not true.

You seem very good at missing the point. Maybe you should focus on rational thought instead of religious dogma.
