Several firms that can afford to lose $1,000 are reporting that iPhone X has a very poor durability from the. Early drop tests indicates that Apple's new release is tremendously vulnerable to having its front and rear glass destroyed upon impact.

CNET confirmed this by doing a drop test from a height of three feet and the glass on the very first drop cracked. While the damage isn’t large, but cracks from a drop doesn’t speak well for the device.

A second consecutive drop landing on its face, resulted to even larger cracks. A phone case is a must have for the iPhone X when considering the cost of repairs can rack up to $550 .

CNET established that one bad drop can damage the glass and steel frame so dropping the Ipjone X without a casing "is out of the question."

A known company offering warranties and protection plans on mobile devices, SquareTrade, conducted some more severe tests. Due to the fact that it is their business, it is in their greatest interest to persuade consumers that the Iphone X is prone to damage.


Those tests from SquareTrade, were done mechanically to create consistency across all devices. Dropping from six feet on its face resulted to sensor of TrueDepth to break. Dropping with its back shattered the back pane of the glass, while dropping the device on its side destroyed the display system, hence, making the screen inoperable.

The toughest test carried out was a 60-second flip cycle. Both the front, rear glass and Face ID will break according to the results they obtained. All this made SquareTrade to declare the iPhone X the "most breakable" iPhone ever.
