Popular Lagos-based human right activist and attorney, Ikechukwu Ikeji, has passed away.

News platform, Aledeh reports that Ikeji, also a Pastor at The City Of Light Church (TCOLC), Ijesha, Lagos, died Sunday evening.

Barrister Ikeji, it was gathered, was in church on Sunday but did not complain of any pain or ailment during and after the service.

The church, however, had a dinner which the outspoken lawyer also attended.

On getting home, the deceased was seen coughing and vomiting a few minutes later.

Ikeji, the founder of Ikechukwu Ikeji and Co. law firm at 16, Fadeyi Aladura Steet, Awolowo Way, Ikeja, was then rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors Sunday night.

Poisoned at the dinner...hmmm. No where is safe anymore. As a human rights activist, know that when you save people from their oppressors, you become a target too. God comfort him family.

If he were an atheist, religious people would say he was spiritually attacked and didn't have Jesus to defend him from the attack

they'll then go on a preaching rant and talk about testimonies of their own experiences about how they were coughing and vomiting but it all stopped when they shouted the name of the son of a Jewish carpenter, they'll also buttress their testimony with that of their church members and other Christians who survived coughing and vomiting through the power of Jesus

alas this is a pastor so I guess it would be "God knows best" "His ways are mysterious" "He's in a better place" "It might be part of god's plan" etc
