Expressway thefts may have gotten ugly after a police sergeant, Williams Godwin, was supposedly associated with the burglary of a suburbanite recognized just as Henry.

PUNCH Metro learned that the 41-year-old casualty was en route to work when he joined a taxi along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on the way to Lagos Island.

He was said to have been assaulted at gunpoint, as the attackers, which included Godwin, purportedly seized him of his ATM card and N4,000.
