The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, has said four cops were admitted to a clinic subsequent to being harmed in a conflict between the police and students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Apata, Ibadan, on Monday.

The chief included that eight police vans were likewise harmed in the conflict.

PUNCH Metro learned that the students trooped to the Ibadan-Abeokuta Expressway around 6.30am, obstructing the fundamental street connecting Oyo and Ogun states, with numerous drivers compelled to take elective courses toward their goals.

It was learned that the minister welcomed the police when the students, who were challenging the school administration, obstructed the principal street.

They were said to require the expulsion of the Provost of the school, Dr. Babajide Adenekan, after a contradiction amongst Adenekan and individuals from the school’s Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Non – Academic Staff Union and the Senior Staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes and Associated Institutions.

An instructor in the school, who talked on a state of namelessness, said the issue had been on for over one year.
