TEXT: "Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them."-Acts 11:3

In the book of Genesis, God commanded Abraham to circumcise his male children, every one born in his house or bought with his money. Any one of the male children who is not circumcised had broken God's covenant, and that soul shall be cut off from his people, Genesis 17:9-14. Abraham obeyed and circumcised every male child in his house, including himself. In the text above, those referred to as men uncircumcised are those not circumcised.

The covenant of circumcision differentiates between the Jews and the Gentiles. The Jews were called the circumcision, and while the Gentiles are called the men uncircumcised, Acts 11:3. Even Jesus Christ, a Jew, went through the process of circumcision, Luke 2:21.

However, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ changed all that division between the Jews and the Gentiles. In Christ Jesus, both Jews and Gentiles are one. In the past, the Gentiles were called uncircumcised by the Jews, because at that time they were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenant of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.

But, now in Christ Jesus, the Gentiles who were far away, have been brought close by the blood of Jesus. For he is our peace, and has made both the Jews and Gentiles to be one. He has broken down the middle wall of partition between the Jews and the Gentiles. He has abolished in his flesh the enmity between the two; and to make in himself one new man, making peace. And that he might reconcile both the Jews and the Gentiles unto God in one body by his cross, having killed that enmity. He preached peace to the Jews and also to the Gentiles. Through him both have access to the Holy Ghost.

Therefore, the Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together, and grows unto a holy temple in the Lord. In whom the Gentiles are also built together for an habitation of God through the Spirit, Ephesians 2:11-22.

If the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea had known the things God had done for the Gentiles, they would not have contended with Peter, for going to the Gentiles, when they heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. Today, the men referred to as uncircumcised, are those that reject the message of Jesus Christ; the unbelievers. And the men referred to as circumcised, are those that accept the message of Jesus Christ; the believers. There is neither Jews nor Gentiles, but we are all one in Christ Jesus.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
