Picture 9 is the ultimate heart breaker for anyone who has a burning desire to see Nigeria, Africa and indeed the black race progress!

The attitude of Nigerian universities and the general studentry to final year project is beyond apalling!

My final year project in the Department of Industrial Relations & Personal Management was "The Determinants of Compensation Management with Consideration of Motivation theories Using Auto Components Ltd and Nigeria Distilleries Ltd (NDL) as Case Study". I spent several weeks shuttling between the department, Auto Components, NDL and IPM library while putting my project together.

To my irritation, many of my classmates and hostel mates considered me idiotic to stress myself in such way over ordinary project. To add to this horror, even my project supervisor, AKA "baba", appeared totally non-challant and unconcerned about whatever i was doing. It was almost as if i was an irritant every time I stepped foot in his office to clarify a point on the current chapter!!

Eventually, I completed my project, passed, left school and entered the labour market and realised how valuable my project conclusion would be to SMEs and one-man businesses. Personally, I gained immense knowledge from my project, sadly my deposited project book is more likely to be gathering dust under thick cobwebs in some abandoned store somewhere in my alma mata!!

While i was in school, we had a library for all the departmental projects, you will be surprised when you find out that you are doing the same thing someone worked on in the nineties, for an engineering student, that was very sad, he left you to think whether there have been no advances in the society since then, going further, i would suggest the Universities in the country support group projects, these projects must be groundbreaking, if the students were not able to complete it, another set can take over and make sure it sees the light of the day. Also the projects on the short term must be directly proportional and influential to the Nigerian society. The government creates a repository for all these ground breaking projects and if need be set up a commercial venture in schools to develop them into world class products.

Guilty of num 8, the projct I did during my OND days naso I giv my supervisor 4 my B.tech, God so kind naso him believe d topic,oh boi come c copy n paste,when all men dey go library I jst dey my off k dey flex. I didn't spend up to N1500 for dat project.
