On November 16, 2017 Instagram post an official statement that now a user can post stories using mobile web. This feature is useful for those who doesn’t have Instagram app and want to post stories.

How to post Instagram story using mobile web:

Step 1: Visit Instagram.com on your mobile browser.

Step 2: Enter your username, password and press log in.

After login you can see your profile and posts/stories of your friends and followers.

Step 3: To add Insta story via mobile web you have to tap on your profile icon available at left hand top corner.

Step 4: After tapping it will give you 2 options Camera and Documents (May be vary on different handsets). To add real time photos to your story use Camera and to add photo from your library use Documents.

Step 5: Once you’ve done tap on “Add to Your Story”

Now your story is published.

Remember fun features like face filters, stickers, and different post types aren’t available. You can’t add videos yet. The feature is pretty basic for the time being.
