INTRODUCTION
Akermas Energy is an indigenous company incorporated to deliver value added services to her clients. We aim at providing engineering and integrated solutions in developing new facilities, and highly conversant with classification rules & other standards and codes for Oil and Gas.


JOB SUMMARY
Process engineering focuses on the design, operation, control, and optimization of chemical, physical, and biological processes. it encompasses a vast range of industries, such as chemical, petrochemical, agriculture, mineral processing, advanced material, food, pharmaceutical, software development, and biotechnological industries.
Process Engineers create, set specifications, develop, and monitor equipment. They are also responsible for the designing, implementing, controlling and optimizing industrial processes, especially continuous ones within the chemical, petrochemical, agriculture, mineral processing, advanced material, food, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological industries.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and development of new equipment (this can include design responsibilities).
• Monitoring of equipment – including regular testing and ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out.
• Completion of documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols.
• Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimisation of production line.
• Assisting Process Technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem.
• Data collection, interpretation and report writing.
• Presentation of data and reports to senior colleagues and management.
• Installation of new equipment.
• Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high.
• Budget responsibilities.
• Use of simulation software in development of new processes.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace. You will also possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Assessing, designing, installing, modifying, and upgrading engineering equipment
• Observing operations and interpreting data
• Overseeing project costs and timelines
• Hiring and managing sub-contractors
• Creating diagrams, charts, and reports
• Evaluating plant safety and environmental impact
• Ensuring plants meet regulations
• Assessing the risk operations have on employees and community
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Strong communication skills.
