These 5 Nigerian tech startups made our list as a result of the unique problems they are solving.

1. EduRecords

EduRecords is a cloud and mobile education platform that registers every school-age child on a centralized database; The platform tracks every student and teacher’s performance as well as the school facilities.

Built with an algorithm that uniquely identifies each student and creates personal learning guides, EduRecords tracks registration and attendance. The platform also generates personalized study guides to tackle a child’s academic weakness, as well as automate the teaching processes.


2. Kangpe

Kangpe connects patients with verified doctors, allowing users to discuss health issues quickly and confidentially with verified doctors 24/7 via SMS, Mobile App, or Web within minutes.

3. DIYLaw

For new business owners, DIYLaw sets out to take the burden of struggling with legal processes. DIYlaw seeks to create access to legal services and resources for Africans. The start-up is positioned to be the one-stop hub for all things legal in Africa.


4. Lands.ng
Lands.ng is an online marketplace for land listings and associated services, aiming to bring digital disruption to the real estate industry in Nigeria. The Lands.ng platform has a listing of more than 1.5 million plots of land and about 250 registered and certified agents.

5. LockMyCash
LockMyCash provides an online escrow service that protects buyers and sellers from fraud during transactions by acting as a trusted third party that collects and holds payments from a buyer and release this payment to the seller when the buyer is satisfied or based on agreements.
