This was affirmed by Akin Afolabi, Head of Selection & Recruitment at Workforce Group at the Top Talent job fair held at the Zone Centre, Gbagada last Saturday. Top Talent is a stellar initiative from Workforce group designed to connect top employers with a pre-screened, highly filtered pool of employment-ready top candidates.

Over 15 leading companies were present at the event with branded stalls and leading HR representatives as they engaged candidates extensively. Top employers such as Nestle, Larfarge, GTBank, Sterling Bank, Nestoil, UACN, Cadbury, Troyka Holdings and more were well represented at the event.

Employers were delighted to have experienced what they described as a job fair with a difference, speaking to the press most employers had positive comments about the level of interaction they had with the candidates and the quality of the candidates on display. Most attributed this quality to the unique assessment process deployed by Workforce group in choosing qualified candidates for the job fair.

A mini-documentary video was presented to employers , showing the rigorous selection process for assessing the competencies of tested candidates for success in the workplace. A 6-week long process spanning across multiple assessment tests ok key competencies such as Intelligence, Character & Purpose, Confidence & Effectiveness, Teamwork & Problem Solving, Leadership & Communication and their Drive for Results.
For the candidates, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet leading employers at such a level, and are very positive with the feedback and commitment they received from the employers they encountered.

Speaking to guests at the event, Akin Afolabi explained the significance of the project to clients and the business landscape of the country.
