I see.
Unlike English where you just memorize 26 alphabets.
Its good memory work though, to memorize 231 characters.

Armenia language is Semitic and some Ethiopian languages like Amharic, Tigrinya, Gurage and Harari are also Semitic. But in terms of the 2 population, not that much.

Armenia is the 1st state in the world to accept Christianity (in 310s AD) while Ethiopia is the 2nd (in 320s AD). Our orthodox Christianity is very similar. It was when some Ethiopian Christians went to Armenia with some texts in Geez alphabet that the Armenias develop their own alphabet by reforming the Geez alphabet to their language accommodation.

If you want to spend it in an African country, then you should come to Ethiopia. Our Christmas is in Tahsas 29 (January 7) because Orthodox Christianity says so. So you can even spend your Christmas in Nigeria or other country and can come to Ethiopian Christians later. There is a pilgrimage to Lalibela churches during Christmas here and it's very interesting. The churches are UNESCO heritage site and some scholars even call it the 8 wonder of the world. By the way, Ethiopia has 10 UNESCO heritage sites (more number than any other African country).
