Good morning and happy Sunday to you all! I believe you will open your minds to receive the good tidings, the gospel which is the good news. Happy are the ones who pay attention to what I have to say and read the book I shared here. The Bible makes it clear that we must believe in the blood and His baptism, not blood alone and not baptism alone. The both are the indispensable elements of our perfect salvation. Now since the Scripture says every word of God must have a mate ( Isaiah 34:16 ), it therefore means that the Old Testament is a shadow of the New Testament. How did God atone the sins of Israelites in the Old Testament? It is through the sacrificial system, the laying on of hands. First when someone commits a sin he or she will bring an animal without blemish and high priest will lay his hands on the head of the animal so as to transfer the sin committed by the person to the body of the animal, then the animal will be killed and its blood shed on behalf of the person who commits the sin. ( Leviticus 1:1-5, Leviticus 16.) That was how God atoned the sins of the people of Israel in the Old Testament time. Now in the New Testament God in a similar way has atoned for our sins, apostle Paul said that Christ died for our sins according to the scripture ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ), what does the term according to the scripture mean? It means that Christ died for sins in the same way as the Old Testament method. Because the time Paul was writing the epistle, there was not yet the 'New Testament in the Bible', so they were using only the 'Old Testament'. Now how did Christ die for our sins? First He was without sin representing animal in the Old Testament which must be without blemish as I said earlier, then John the Baptist who represents the high priest lays his hands on the head of Jesus Christ during His baptism and passed all our sins to the body of Christ and then Christ went to the Cross and suffered, shedding His blood on our behalf. When Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be of water to enter the Kingdom ( John 3:5 ), he actually meant we must believe that He received our sins to his body in His baptism. In (1 John 5:6 ) "This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." And again the curious disciple Peter also bears witness to this truth in (1 Peter 3:20-21) that this water which means baptism now saves us.
