The rising cases of child abuse in the society came to the fore recently when a little girl simply identified as Chiamaka, was rescued from the abusive grip of her aunt’s husband in Warri area of Delta State.



The Assistant Secretary, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Israel Joe, who shared Chiamaka’s heartbreaking story on Facebook, said the minor was severally harassed and raped by the man she called ‘uncle’.
