Hi N-landers

I was just wandering what the current cost was for the MTN F@stlink E170 (MODEM ONLY) and the acutal speed cause i not quite sure mtn are telling the truth.

P.S can u pls paste pics of acutal download that would really help

the hang of it is dat download speed is written by network provers(eg mtn,zain) as Kb/s -note the 'b'(MEANING bit) is in small letter. but when u start downloading it's in KB/s i.e capital letter B standing for byte.
since 8 bits make 1 byte, divide ur provider by 8 and deduct 10% off. so 256kbs becomes 256 divided by 8 = 32KBs and 10% off u get like 29KB/s!

Now thats a lie, in Nigeria? MTN gives you about 10 to 20 kb/s, internet is very sluggish during the day don't even bother with them. . .

it seems frm a little poll i did a while ago you a beta off with a CDMA stick
starcomms or multilinks is generally more reliable than any of the gsm
but it also depends on yr location

Do you know you can actually browse free from you MTN f@stlink? it simplen and easy. just configure your browser with 208.53.157.38 port 80 and go through its home
