Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has debunked the ongoing job recruitment of graduate Trainees being circulated online by some career websites (excluding www.) requesting young graduates to apply online.

This was confirmed in a mail after an inquiry was madeby through the bank's online customer service platform.

Our attention has been drawn to an ongoing job recruitment campaign purportedly involving employment in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc to unsuspecting Nigerian nationals. Please disregard anddelete all such emails and any other communication circulating via social media, SMS, phone calls and various online portals. At this time, GTBank, its staff or its agents has not requested you to submit your credentials to any email address or upload your detailsvia any web link.

We therefore dissociate ourselves from this false recruitment campaign and wish to notify the public thatVacancies will only be announced on the careers pageat our corporate website:www.gtbank.com/

Pls I saw this somewhere, how true??

The truth is,
Recruitment is ongoing in GTB; but it is not for the public, it is through the reserved back door.

CBN, EFCC and NDIC have taught private institutions the midnight backdoor recruitment process, they've been employing Northerners without interviews while other qualified graduates wallow in joblessness.

Other people have now learnt.

The thing is that there are so many jobless Nigerians. Stop looking for white-collar jobs if you can. You can start your own businesses.

You were almost correct, not until u included the bolded.

The back door thing happens in all banks, infact it sustains them (if only u know the reason for that).

Just like someone posted, The truth is GTB doesn't publicize their recruitment unlike some other banks.
It's strictly on "man know man" or let me say referral.

And their recruitment is not as vigorous as other banks. It's easier for someone with experience to quickly get a job at GTB than a fresher without prior experience

Naah.. I actually went to their website few weeks back and saw the publication. Its common for Nigerian institutions to post something and deny it later on the social media space
