Christianity is a religion. It has clearly stated moral objectives. In fact, morality is the bedrock of Christianity. The central principle of Christianity is God attempting to reconcile mankind to himself (John 3:16). The opposite ends of Christianity are Sin and Redemption.

All throughout the Bible the most consistent characteristic of God is that he NEVER hesitates to punish sin. It didn’t matter to him whether the sins were committed by Israelites, Philistines, Moabites, Amorites, Amalekites, Edomites, Hittites, Ninevites, Sodomites, Egyptians, Assyrians or Babyonians, God ALWAYS punished their sins.

In other words, in Christianity, once you are a sinner and you refuse to repent from your sins, the punishment is Hellfire. It does not matter how high your standing is in the Society or even in the Church.

If you call yourself a Pastor and you are a sinner, you will go to hell. Jesus warned that even if you are a miracle working Pastor but you are a secret sinner, on Judgement Day your secret sins will be brought into the open and you will be cast into the lake of fire:

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

That is the high and elevated moral standard of Christianity. On judgment day, be you a Moses, an Abraham, a David, a Pope, an Adeboye, an Oyedepo, a Mike Okonkwo, or a Kumuyi, you will not get a free pass into Heaven.

Rather, every man is judged for his deeds and sentenced accordingly.

Islam on the other hand is not a religion, it is an identity cult. A muslim’s moral standards are not as important to Allah as his decision to identify with islam. As long as a muslim identifies with Islam, he can commit any sin and still make it to Paradise.

In short, Allah has no problems about allowing sinful muslims into Paradise. The reasons for this odd behaviour are explained by none other than Muhammad himself in his Sunnah:

In Sahih Muslim 37:6666, we find the following:

Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit in his place, a Jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire.

Also in Sahih Muslim 37:6668, Muhammad states as follows:

Allah’s Apostle said: There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with sins as heavy as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians.

So according to Muhammad, if you are a muslim on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will forgive you even if your sins are as “heavy as a mountain”, and rather than send you to hell, he will send Jews and Christians to hell in your place to serve the punishment which you would otherwise have served.

This is the major distinction between Christianity and Islam. In Christianity, the God of Christians is consistent and applies his judgment without fear or favour. He does not spare you from punishment just because you call yourself a Jew or a Christian and he does not fail to reward your loyalty even if you are a Gentile. His only condition for your salvation is that you repent from evil and produce fruits of repentance (See Matthew 7:18-20)

In Islam however, the “god” of islam is more obsessed with getting you to identify with his cult than he is about making you a better human being.

God gave us humans the rational faculty to distinguish between right and wrong, to choose the good and to shun the evil. It is unbefitting for God to send a “messenger” whose teachings do not make sense and then expect us to blindly “submit” to such nonsense.

The rules of God are always consistent, whether in the Spiritual or natural realm. Just look at the The laws of
Physics. They don't change and they are predictable. For example, The law of gravity says that if you throw an object into the air gravity will bring it back down to earth. This principle is unchanging and constant. It is because of the consistency of natural laws that we know that these laws are made by a God whose standards never change.

That God cannot be the same for both Christianity and Islam.
