Alive Again!
Chapter 1
I couldn't move, it feels like my legs are stuck, breathing is not easy either, i felt like my nose was stuffed, i opened my eyes and little dust particles came rolling in. I let out a loud cry but i'm not sure if i was heard cause i can't even hear myself. I'm in this all by myself and I really have to get out of here. I took
a deep breath and with every bit of strength in
me, i made my a fist, slamming the wooden box voraciously till it broke as more dust poured in. I pulled myself up and out of the heap with
dust falling off my body.
Except for a really bright candle-light at a
distance, tall trees and shrubs were all I can see. I made my way towards the light. The sound of my blood flowing became louder with every unsteady step I take, the stench of my rotting cells rioting grew thicker, My body were literally stagging a protest as i stumbled through the woods amidst hindering trees and stumps. Eventually, here I was at the house where the light shone. I saw my ragged self staring back at me as i walked around the house looking for an opening. I can't read what was written on the building but i'm sure something to quench my
burning hunger is behind the door. I stamped away from the mirror-house after a fruitless wait. I was few metres away when started hearing
incessant whispers from the house.
A weak smile flashed on my face as the door open and two young
guys went in, i walked hurriedly towards the
building.
''Person dey come'' one of the guys said.
I got to the mirror house fast enough before the
boys closed it.
''E be like say na madman be this'' the boy said
to his partner.
''Carry bread give am make e dey go'', the older
said without looking my way.
The younger boy handed me a bread with his hands
shaking.
'I... no... want... that.' I stammered after what felt like eternity.
'Then Bleep off crazy' the older said loading his
back with stuff.
'What do you want?' The younger guy
asked, i could smell fear all over him but i could
smell something else, something strong, i could
smell guilt, something tasty, his sweet flowing fresh blood.
'You!' i replied rushing past him into the
building.
I grabbed the older guy who tried to fight
himself off but damn i guess i'm too strong,
who am i kidding?, yes i'm too strong for this
kid. My fangs pierced their way out and i buried
them into his already waiting neck. I sucked
through every vessel and it felt good but that
wasn't enough, i needed more as my attention turned towards my new friend who was standing fixed to
that very spot with urine pouring down his
pants and tears down his jaw.
'I sorry but i have to chop', i said
with a smirk.
I could hear him begging but what can i do?
The missionaries who came to town do say 'Love
your neighbour as yourself' but you have to first
love yourself right?
I never listened to them then why listen to my
head now.
*
I changed into their tight short pants and
shirt. I think i like the shirt tho' but i like the
small rope that they attached to their ear. It was
connected to a small mirror but this looks better
than the mirror the white missionaries gave us.
I came out of the building and felt like a
different man as i nodded to a ridiculous rythmn
from the rope.
'I gat a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good
night', i said repeating what i heard from the
tiny rope and mirror like object.
"Things he hard change" I said as a car whizzed past me almost knocking me over.
"That tonight's gonna be a good, good night. A feeling ..."
I'm Domo and i'm Alive Again!!!
