The Cross River State Police Command has arrested 8 suspects who allegedly murdered an Inspector of Police, Mr Michael James on Christmas day in Uyanga community in Akamkpa LGA. The deceased until his death was attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Enugu State.

According to reports, the body of the deceased was taken to a shrine were he was turn into different parts for ritual purposes.

The Chief Priest of the shrine was also arrested as he was pictured holding the skull of the deceased (man seated at the extreme of the first roll).

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Hafiz Inuwa, confirming their arrest. Below is what he said.

“On Dec. 25 2017, one Inspector Michael James attached to SARS in Enugu State was on a visit to his in-law, retired ASP Dominic Umoh, who resides in Ojor village in Akamkpa Local Government Area.

“When he went out to Uyanga village to buy fuel, some youths from the community came out without provocation, attacked, killed and beheaded him.

“His severed head was later recovered at Uyanga shrine. The youths also seized the late inspector’s AK47 rifle, with double magazines and set his sienna vehicle ablaze, with registration number ENU 683 NK.

“Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of eight suspects and efforts are ongoing to arrest others at large and prosecute them accordingly.

“We recovered one locally made pistol, 17 empty cartridges, singlet of the deceased, one dry human skull, charms and the severed head of the late inspector.”

This attitude is peculiar to the Yorubas, especially the Muslims. They're grade one specialists in beheading and mining of skulls. I'm sure these youths received their training in Ogun State.

But why did he go to buy fuel with AK47 riffle?
It's possible the youths felt he was an armed rubber, having seen him with gun.
I remember that a young army Colonel was also killed for carrying gun. He saw some ladies very early in the morning and was asking for direction to were he was going. Now, having received torments severally from armed rubbers, they ran into the village to alert the whole village.
All apeals and explanations felled into deaf ears until while they stoned him to death.

This could have also happened here, but you know nah. Naija factor too much.

Because our leaders are flaunting their stolen money, thereby telling them to make money is cheap, just join politic and you will be rich overnight. It is same evil politicians that influenced their need of using people for money rituals by sending them to kill for them for ritual purposes.

those people must be innocent. actual people that commited that crime wil not be there. u don't tell me those that killed him will still be there knowing what they did have ran away why SARS is arresting innocent people
