Once upon a time, a man named Tai Solarin founded the Mayflower School
in Ikenne,Ogun State. The Late Tai Solarin was an unrepentant 'atheist'.
Yet, christians, muslims, traditional worshippers sent their kids to
the school because of the quality of education. The school flourished
and produced some of the best brains in Nigeria of today. In spite of
the quality, the school fees wasn't out reach of the average Nigerian
family. Tai Solarin, though an atheist, his legacy forever lives on. Now
the question is, how many 'Christian' families can afford to send their
kids to the current 'Christian' private school founded by popular
pentecostal movements? Moral of the story, you need not to wear a white
collar or grow long beard to impact on humanity. Service to humanity is
not a religious matter.

You have a point.

Even his university of education is one of the cheapest Private schools in the country.

But nooooo, these uber rich churches can't do such thing. They'd rather extort their members than do anything for them.

Why didn't he make it free, if he can collect little amount for school fees then, what makes you think he wouldn't have collected huge amount for school fees today considering the economic situations of the present day?.

Erroneous
Go by what is. What we know. What happened.
Not what Tai would have done were it today.
That we'll never know. So why bother with that?
If at all, access a fella by antecedents.

Those days everything was cheap and that little tuition fee he collected that time would have been a huge sum today. Even my dad bought his brand new 404 little above #2k then.

Nothing was cheap.
Everything is relative to its time.

Wrong . Mayflower was stil very expensive to man In that generation . It was for ajebotas while christian missionary schools were far cheaper in that generation .

A christian owned school is just in name . The fees ranges according to quality and investment . Many of them are still cheap compared with the quality of education . Bishop Oyedepo landmark secondary school is so affordable even for Borden house students and the standard is international . We must pay for the quality of teachers and pay for the facilities and the commitment to the future of the students . My child is in that school and I’m forever greatful to God and the bishop for such vision . My daughter used to be top in another private school but when I moved her to landmark she became 11th . I felt hurt . But I realized they don’t compromise quality study . My daughter complained that it’s too hard . Finally she began to pick up. They resumed last week . The teachers cheked their assignment at the gate . All the students who didn’t finished their many many many holiday assignment had to finished it at the gate . Me and my daughter spent hours working on the assignment . She was crying . But I was glad that we have such a school that won’t compromise . I have told her that next holiday , as she comes home na assignment straight . No more phone no more cartoon
